The Boys are Back in Town!!

MY BOYS ARE BACK!

In 2023, I pitched an original animated show about two cops named Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. I ended up winning the studio’s Pitchfest competition, and they bought my idea!

It was an exciting moment for me. I had pitched something original, won the competition, and actually sold a show! I thought maybe my career was about to take a new creative turn and I’d finally get the opportunity to bring one of my own ideas to life.

Unfortunately, like so many ideas and stories in this industry, it ended up sitting on a shelf. No development, no real momentum, nothing.

And just when I thought my career might be heading in this exciting new direction, the very studio that bought my idea ended up laying me off.

Talk about adding insult to injury!

But I don’t have any bad blood toward the studio. Sometimes people pass on good ideas, and that’s on them. That’s just how this industry works sometimes.

But today, I got some pretty exciting news.

Mashed Potatoes & Gravy is officially back in my hands!

And this time, I’m going to develop it myself.

I really believe that now, more than ever, it’s time to bet on yourself and push your own ideas as far as you possibly can. Because at the end of the day, nobody is going to believe in your ideas more than you do, and nobody is going to fight harder to bring them to life.

I’m excited to revisit these characters, explore new technologies, and see what kind of future I can create for these two knuckleheads.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will take us, but I know one thing…
